Aston Martin has created perhaps its most extreme SUV yet – but there is one catch. You won’t be able to buy one.

The new Aston Martin Dreadnought has been designed exclusively for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, giving the luxury British brand a chance to explore what happens when the usual rules of vehicle design disappear.

Created by Aston Martin’s own design team in collaboration with game developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision, the Dreadnought combines the brand’s luxury styling with the aggressive requirements of a military vehicle.

The result is a fictional high-performance tactical SUV featuring armoured bodywork, extreme off-road capability, weapons storage and a design language inspired by Aston Martin’s real-world models.

While it exists only digitally, the Dreadnought includes many details you would expect from a real Aston Martin, including carbon-fibre finishes, premium leather interiors and the brand’s signature Chiltern Green paint. It even features a virtual V12 soundtrack, giving players the experience of an Aston Martin engine while exploring the game world.

Marek Reichman
, Aston Martin’s chief creative officer, said: “Dreadnought is unmistakably an Aston Martin – amplified without restraint.”

The collaboration also highlights the growing relationship between automotive brands and gaming. As modern vehicles become increasingly digital, manufacturers are looking beyond traditional advertising to connect with younger audiences through virtual worlds.

Gaming is also becoming more relevant inside real cars, with manufacturers including Tesla, BMW and Mercedes-Benz already exploring in-car gaming experiences and digital entertainment.

While the Dreadnought will never sit on an Aston Martin showroom floor, it represents an interesting glimpse at how car design, entertainment and technology are increasingly overlapping.

And if future Aston Martins ever do allow drivers to play Call of Duty from their infotainment screens, this might be the closest thing yet to a company designing a car for the gamer generation.
