At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week, Sony Honda Mobility has unveiled its AFEELA Prototype 2026 electric SUV, giving the first glimpse of a production model slated for US launch in 2028. The reveal underscores the company’s “Mobility as a Creative Entertainment Space” vision, transforming the vehicle cabin into a connected, software-defined hub.

The SUV’s interior features AI-powered intelligence, allowing passengers to personalise navigation, climate, media, and communications. The cabin integrates gaming, streaming, and entertainment, including PlayStation consoles and AI-driven content recommendations, creating an immersive experience even while on the move or parked. Audio is elevated through a multi-speaker set-up — the original AFEELA model featured 28 speakers — delivering theatrical, high-fidelity sound throughout the vehicle.

Beyond entertainment, the AFEELA Intelligent Drive system supports Level 2+ assistance, with advanced driver-assist features designed to scale towards Level 4 autonomy (handling all driving tasks in specific environments without human intervention). Smart cabin features include seat-aware audio/video routing, multi-seat personalisation, and voice interaction, providing a fully integrated AI-driven experience for both drivers and passengers.

CES attendees were able to explore the interactive cabin, experiencing first-hand how Sony Honda Mobility blends technology, entertainment, and mobility, positioning the AFEELA as more than an EV — it’s a digital, in-car lifestyle platform.
CES continues until Friday, January 9.
