This isn’t your usual “luxury trim pack” situation. The Denza Z9GT has been turned into a one-off rolling jewellery box for the Cannes Film Festival thanks to Swiss luxury house Chopard – and the main talking point isn’t just the performance or tech, it’s the fact the in-car interfaces are now framed in diamonds and gemstones.

Around the 17.3in infotainment screen and key cabin touchpoints, Chopard has integrated amethyst stones into the trim, effectively turning the centre of the dashboard – where you’d normally be stabbing at the satnav or changing tracks – into something closer to a high jewellery display case. The Chopard “C” appears embroidered into the headrests, the light carpet graphic is bespoke, and even the wireless charging pad and infotainment theme get the full couture treatment.

Only after all that does the tech remind you this is still a serious machine. The Z9GT carries a triple-motor set-up producing more than 1,134hp, a sub-three-second 0–100kph time, and ultra-fast Flash Charging that can top up the EV battery in around nine minutes.

There’s also a matching “His & Hers” Chopard watch set and bespoke luggage included in the overall Cannes amfAR Gala donation package, but the core idea here is simple: the screen you’d normally poke at for Spotify or nav has effectively been reimagined as part of a jewellery collection.
Or, put another way – it’s an EV where even the touchscreen trim has a higher carat count than most engagement rings.
