The UK’s best aftermarket car audio installations will be heading to Midbass in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, this Saturday, September 26, as the EMMA UK Sound Quality competition reaches its final round of the 2026 season.
EMMA UK is the British arm of the European Mobile Media Association (EMMA), which runs competitions for aftermarket car audio systems, with vehicles judged on factors including sound quality, installation and technical execution. In other words, this is what happens when having a decent stereo isn’t quite good enough.
This weekend’s event will see competitors battling for the final league points of the season, with European Finals places still to be decided across a number of classes. EMMA UK says 65 competitors are currently spread across 15 active classes, with Round 5 set to confirm the automatic European invites for next year.
The 2026 calendar has already visited Propper Droppers at both The Fast Show and The Vauxhall Show at Santa Pod, Blade ICE and Pure Customs in Coventry, Celsus ICE in Poole and Stinger Solutions in Kingswinford, with events also hosted by Matthew’s Customs & Conversions at the Cars & Clarity meet in Oswestry, The Reunion Show at Staffordshire Showground, D2U Alternators and Linear Audio UK, Sideline Audio and Audio Wave.
We previously reported on the July event at Stinger, with the finals now heading to Midbass in Sutton Coldfield. Round 5 competition gets underway with sign-in from 8.30am and judging starting at 9.30am. Midbass is the UK distributor for products from Edge, Vibe, Ground Zero and Audiotec Fischer (Brax, Helix and Match).
And you don’t need a competition car to get involved. Spectators can attend for free, making it a good opportunity to see some properly serious aftermarket audio installations up close.
