Kicker has expanded its aftermarket audio line-up with two new product families designed to deliver bigger bass while making integration with modern vehicles easier.
The latest L7T powered down-firing subwoofers are already making an impression with dealers, with one installer reporting that a demonstration unit was powerful enough to trigger a nearby car alarm.
Available in KA53PL7TDF10 10in (£499) and KA53PL7TDF12 12in (£549) versions, the compact powered enclosures deliver 500W RMS and 600W RMS respectively, while supporting up to 40V of high-level input for easier integration with factory systems.
Both models are Start/Stop compatible and include a remote bass control, making them suitable for vehicles where retaining the original head unit is a priority.
Alongside the new powered subs, Kicker is also introducing its VXA amplifier range, positioned below the CXA series as the brand’s new value-focused amplifier line.
The range includes five models – three mono amplifiers (£199-£299), a four-channel (£299) and a five-channel (£379) – with subwoofer versions offering 1-ohm stability, compact designs and included bass controls.
Designed for modern vehicles, the VXA amplifiers feature Kicker’s FIT (Failsafe Integration Technology) inputs, allowing them to work with a wider range of factory audio systems, including vehicles using Class SB amplifier technology.
Traditional aftermarket amplifiers can struggle with some OEM systems because the factory amplifier output can change behaviour depending on volume level. Kicker’s FIT technology is designed to handle these changes, maintaining a clean signal path and reducing the risk of distortion.
The new products arrive as the aftermarket adapts to increasingly integrated factory systems, where replacing the original display and electronics is often no longer practical.
