CEO of Hayes, London-based installer and retailer Car Audio Security, Raj Sangha, has taken a deep dive into retro car audio culture in the company’s latest YouTube video – and come away with what viewers are calling a “time capsule” of the golden era.

Visiting collector Mitesh Surti (better known online as Maybachman), Raj finds himself surrounded by one of the most obsessive and impressive vintage car audio collections around. From rare Alpine set-ups to iconic Pioneer, Kenwood and Sony head units, it’s a full-on archive of ’80s and ’90s car audio history, complete with a collection of hard-to-find vintage brochures.

At first glance, it looks chaotic. Spend a bit of time in the room and the scale becomes clear – including stand-out pieces like a rare Momo-made Alpine steering wheel controller that would make most enthusiasts stop mid-sentence.
The video explores how the collection began, what fuels it, and whether this is simply collecting… or something closer to obsession.

Viewers have been quick to respond. One comment from @PixelVogue summed up the reaction neatly: “He needs his own section at CAS 😂 Mitesh Corner.”
@Ferrhari simply added: “Love this. The world needs Mitesh and Raj and this passion!”
And @rubensilvarocha summed up the feeling for many: “I would gladly pay to be about 1 or 2 hours in that room!”
Raj, meanwhile, plays the perfect host – clearly just as fascinated as the audience watching along.
