Kicker has introduced its VXA-Series amplifiers, a new five-model range designed to deliver strong performance at an accessible price. Compact installation and easy integration with modern vehicles are other highlights. Available through UK distributor Celsus ICE, the range sits below the brand’s CX amplifiers in price, starting at £199.

The line-up comprises three mono amplifiers – the 350.1, the 700.1 and the 1000.1, rated at 350W, 700W and 1,000W RMS respectively – alongside the 300.4 four-channel model and the 600.5 five-channel unit, which can power a complete system, including a subwoofer. All use Class D amplification – explained in our amplifier buying guide – while the mono models are stable down to 1 ohm, providing flexibility for high-output bass installations.

Features include variable electronic crossovers, KickEQ bass boost and compact dimensions intended to simplify installation. The mono models include remote bass control, while Kicker’s FIT (Failsafe Integration Technology) inputs are designed to support integration with factory audio systems, including those using Class SB amplifiers. Start/stop compatibility further suits the range to modern vehicles.

Alongside the new amplifiers, Kicker is preparing to bring its SoloXS L7XS subwoofers to market. These square subs are available in 12in, 15in and 18in sizes. The largest, the SoloXS L7XS18, is rated at 2,000-4,000W RMS and is described by Kicker as the most powerful subwoofer it has ever built. It combines the brand’s famed square-cone design with a substantial motor assembly featuring a triple-stacked ferrite magnet weighing 23.5kg and a 102mm (4in) voice coil. Its 43.1mm linear Xmax and more than 4.5in of peak-to-peak cone travel are designed to deliver high output while maintaining control and sound quality. Prices for these subwoofers are US$1,399 (£1,057), US$1,499 (£1,132) and US$1,799 (£1,359) respectively in the US.

All of the subwoofers incorporate Forced-Air Cooling to manage heat under sustained high-power operation, alongside dual meta-aramid spiders and a proprietary NBR surround. A bolt-in, glue-free recone assembly with interchangeable impedance options is intended to simplify servicing and allow the driver to be returned to operation quickly.

While the VXA amplifiers are now shipping, UK availability and pricing for the SoloXS L7XS subwoofers have yet to be confirmed.
