If you’ve ever watched Rallycross, you’ll know it’s not exactly a quiet afternoon out. Cars launching off jumps, sliding through gravel and tarmac in the same corner, and everything happening in about the time it takes to finish a coffee. Now imagine all of that in an EV hypercar.
That’s where Kicker comes in. The US audio brand has been named official technical partner for the 2026 RallyX Americas season, working on the EV powertrain sound system for the First Corner FC1 Hypercar. In simple terms, it’s helping make electric racing cars sound as dramatic as they look.
Because while EVs are fast, silent doesn’t always translate well when you’re trying to sell motorsport chaos to a crowd.

The system is designed to pump out up to 120dB of engineered sound – not just noise, but a tuned audio experience that gives the FC1 the kind of presence you’d normally associate with a full grid of screaming combustion engines and a bit of regret from the local noise committee.
Kicker’s Jimmo Ozment called it a “whole new way” to apply the brand’s acoustic expertise, while RallyX founder Andreas Eriksson was keen to underline the point fans already know: sound matters. Especially when cars are literally flying through the air.
And this isn’t just a concept exercise. Kicker systems have already been run on FC1 cars in demonstration events. The idea now is to scale that up for a full championship season across RallyX Americas and beyond.
The 2026 season kicks off in June, starting at Crandon International Raceway in Wisconsin, before heading to Eldora Speedway in Ohio and Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières in Quebec, with a global final later in the year in Portugal.
Remember, you can also get a taste of Kicker in your own car, EV or not – its products are distributed in the UK by Celsus ICE.
