Connects2, the UK-based designer and manufacturer of vehicle integration, safety and audio solutions, has launched MyCar, a browser-based tool designed to make finding the right car stereo fitting kit quicker and easier. Enter a UK registration and the tool identifies the vehicle’s make, model and year, then lists compatible dashboard adaptors based on the head unit being installed.

There’s no app to download, so you can check compatibility on your phone while standing next to the car, rather than squinting at a catalogue back at your desk. For vehicles outside the UK, you can search by make, model and year instead.
MyCar covers Connects2’s CTK complete installation kits for double-DIN head unit upgrades, as well as the CTK9 range for newer 9in, vehicle-specific head units. Both are designed to integrate modern infotainment systems neatly into the dashboard while retaining a factory-style finish.

The tool should prove useful for installers and retailers alike, helping them confirm the right kit before dismantling the dashboard – and potentially saving time, money and a few choice words when something doesn’t fit.
You can also add MyCar to your phone’s home screen for quick access, making it behave much like an app without taking up storage space.
