As families pile into cars with multiple devices, headphones and competing audio demands, Harman believes the traditional single-source car audio system no longer cuts it. Enter Ready StreamShare, a new in-cabin audio and communication platform designed for modern, multi-user journeys.
At its core is a central in-vehicle hub that allows up to four passengers to pair their personal devices, creating individual listening zones. Passengers can listen privately through ultra-low-latency wireless headphones, join shared playback with others, or switch instantly into hands-free cabin conversations — all without removing their headphones.

A standout feature is Driver Announcement, which pauses all active audio streams so the driver can address the whole cabin clearly, without raised voices or distraction. Powered by Harman’s ultra-low-latency wireless audio technology, conversations remain natural and uninterrupted.
“Families now expect the car to function like their digital lives — personal, connected and shared,” says Zafar Razzacki, director of product management for Ready StreamShare at Harman. “Ready StreamShare brings personal device freedom together with shared connection to make every journey more enjoyable and functional.”
Ready StreamShare forms part of Harman’s broader Ready portfolio, which is already shipping to OEMs and spans audio personalisation, software-defined vehicle tools, connected safety systems and next-generation displays. The company says the focus is no longer on standalone features, but on orchestrated experiences that work together and can evolve throughout a vehicle’s lifecycle.

That portfolio includes Harman’s SDV toolchain for faster validation and updates, branded and adaptive audio systems, in-cabin monitoring technologies, vehicle-to-network safety alerts, and Samsung Neo QLED-powered automotive displays — all designed to integrate seamlessly.
“In automotive, AI is now table stakes,” says Christian Sobottka, president of Harman Automotive. “What sets Harman apart is our ability to orchestrate software, hardware, AI, audio and visual technologies into holistic, road-ready experiences.”
