SEMA 2026: Beat-Sonic Unveils Plug-and-Play Amp for Toyota JBL Sound Systems

The US-based operation of Japanese car audio specialist Beat-Sonic is using SEMA 2026 at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 3-6 to showcase a new amplifier designed to make upgrading Toyota’s factory JBL sound systems considerably easier.

Watch the video below, filmed at SEMA, to find out more:
‍

The brand – distributed in the UK by Car Audio Express – has launched the Encore Boost, a compact line driver amplifier that provides full-range RCA pre-outs, allowing owners to add an aftermarket subwoofer while retaining control through the vehicle’s original audio system. That means the subwoofer volume follows adjustments made using the factory head unit or steering-wheel controls – something that can be tricky to achieve when adding aftermarket equipment to newer vehicles.

Beat-Sonic says the Encore Boost comes with a plug-and-play harness for Toyota models equipped with JBL audio systems from 2021 onwards. The company expects the product to become available in the US in early December.

More Encore Amplifiers for Toyota and Lexus

Beat-Sonic is demonstrating its Encore Alpha 3 plug-and-play amplifiers at SEMA, designed to work with original vehicle audio systems. Current applications include selected Toyota, Nissan and Honda models. For Lexus owners, the recently introduced Encore Sigma offers another route to upgrading factory premium sound systems. Like the Boost, it includes RCA outputs for connecting an additional subwoofer.

The Encore X DSP amplifiers are also on show, featuring pre-installed vehicle-specific tuning for models including the Toyota Tacoma, Tundra, RAV4, 4Runner and GR86. The idea behind the range is straightforward: improve the sound without having to cut factory wiring or sacrifice the features built into the original system.

Compact Powered Subwoofer Coming Soon

Another interesting product is the Encore Solid Box, a compact powered subwoofer that Beat-Sonic recently reintroduced in Japan. It uses two 6.5in subwoofers alongside a passive radiator built into the base of the enclosure. The compact design is intended to provide additional bass without taking up the space required by a conventional subwoofer installation.

Its electrical connections are grouped into a single connector for power, ground and remote wiring, making it easier to disconnect and reconnect when required. Beat-Sonic says further details will follow later this year.
