Vehicle theft continues to hit hard across the UK, but Tracker Network UK says March was another successful month for recoveries, with stolen vehicles worth a combined £3,286,406 located through its tracking systems.
The figures include some high-value targets, from a £155,000 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG recovered in Dover to a £103,500 Range Rover Sport found in Coventry in under five hours.

Other notable recoveries included a BMW X7 taken during an aggravated burglary, a Toyota Hilux recovered in Birmingham in under three hours, and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter recovered within five hours.
During the month, Tracker says it helped police recover 126 stolen vehicles and supported six arrests. Its tracking activity also led officers to five additional stolen vehicles that were not fitted with Tracker systems, but happened to be found nearby.

The company says its close partnership with UK police remains central to its success. Tracker is currently the only stolen vehicle recovery provider with formal support from all UK police forces, with its detection systems installed in thousands of police vehicles and across the National Police Air Service helicopter fleet.
To date, Tracker says it has recovered more than £670 million worth of stolen vehicles.

The latest numbers are a reminder that while keyless theft and relay attacks often dominate headlines, organised theft remains a major issue across all types of vehicle. Luxury SUVs are obvious targets, but vans, pick-ups and even motorcycles continue to be taken to order – often for export, dismantling or resale as parts.
For anyone running a valuable install or aftermarket setup, it’s another argument for making security part of the upgrade plan. Because once the car disappears, so does everything you built into it.
