Scorpion Automotive has completed its third acquisition since February 2025, adding specialist vehicle technology company Intellitec MV to its growing portfolio.
Based on the Wirral, Intellitec has built a strong reputation supplying electronic control systems and mobility technology to emergency services, specialist vehicle builders and fleet operators across the UK.
For Chorley-based Scorpion, the deal broadens its reach beyond vehicle security, tracking and telematics, while adding expertise in vehicle control systems and battery protection equipment.

The acquisition follows Scorpion's purchase of Trackershop and forms part of the company's ongoing expansion strategy. Scorpion already works with major automotive brands including BMW, Subaru and Yamaha, while operating across Europe and North America.
Notably for installers and fleet operators, the two companies say the partnership will accelerate development in areas including over-the-air software updates, bespoke telematics systems and future AI-powered vehicle technologies.
Both businesses have also committed to keeping manufacturing in north-west England, with Intellitec founder Paul Smith describing Scorpion as "the right partner for our future expansion".
Scorpion CEO Andrew Jeffrey, picture above, added that Intellitec's expertise creates opportunities to strengthen the group’s position in B2B markets while expanding its technology offering.
For the aftermarket, it is another sign that consolidation continues across the vehicle technology sector, with security, tracking, telematics and specialist vehicle electronics increasingly becoming part of the same connected ecosystem.
