Kicker has used SEMA 2026 – running at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 3-6 – to unveil a wide range of new car audio products, including a 1,250W waterproof amplifier, six refreshed CXA models and vehicle-specific subwoofer systems for the Ford Bronco and GM trucks.

The company has also introduced new round mid-range speakers, marine coaxials and two unloaded subwoofer enclosures, giving enthusiasts plenty of options for upgrading their sound systems. ZZ Top founder, singer-songwriter and guitarist Billy F Gibbons and American country-rock star Tim Montana also stopped by the stand.

One of the headline launches is the PXA1250.1, a compact mono amplifier designed for powersports and off-road applications. It delivers 1,250W RMS at 1 ohm and carries IP66 and IP67 ratings, meaning it can withstand high-pressure water jets and brief periods of immersion.
Its sealed chassis uses gaskets and additional protection around the wiring connections to keep water out, making it suitable for demanding environments such as Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs), side-by-sides and motorcycles.
Kicker has also added the KPX600.4 to its powersports range. This compact four-channel amplifier produces 600W RMS in total, or 150W per channel at 2 ohms, while its weather-resistant construction and small footprint make it suitable for installations where space and electrical capacity are limited.

Kicker has refreshed its popular CXA amplifier family with six new models, including four mono designs and two multi-channel options. The mono range is headed by the CXA2000.1, producing 2,000W RMS at 1 ohm, followed by the CXA1500.1, CXA900.1 and CXA500.1. The line-up also includes the four-channel CXA400.4 and five-channel CXA850.5, which combines four speaker channels with a dedicated 450W RMS subwoofer channel.
All six models feature increased power handling compared with their predecessors, along with clip indicators behind the gain controls to make setting levels easier. Kicker’s FIT+ technology allows the amplifiers to accept high-level input signals directly from factory audio systems, without requiring a separate line output converter. The CXARC bass remote is available separately for those who want to adjust subwoofer output from the driver’s seat.

Kicker is expanding its vehicle-specific L7T subwoofer systems with new solutions for Ford Bronco and GM crew-cab pick-up owners.
The Bronco system (51KBRL7T) is designed for 2021-2026 models, mounting a single 12in Solo-Baric L7T thin-mount square subwoofer to the vehicle’s rear swing gate. The arrangement keeps the cargo floor free, while the sealed enclosure is constructed from roto-moulded HDPE for water and UV resistance.
The system is pre-wired for a 2 ohm load and handles up to 600W RMS. Mounting brackets and hardware are included, along with a full-size template for any necessary tailgate modifications.
For 2019-onwards Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra crew-cab models, Kicker has introduced a dual 12in L7T enclosure designed to fit beneath the rear seat. The two subwoofers provide a combined power handling capacity of 1,200W RMS, with the enclosure pre-wired for a 2 ohm load.

Kicker has added round versions of its ST-Series mid-range speakers for customers who prefer conventional shapes to the range’s existing square designs. Available in 6.5in and 8in sizes, the new drivers use pressed paper-pulp cones and folded cloth surrounds, with high-sensitivity designs capable of delivering high volume levels. Power handling is rated at up to 200W RMS for the 6.5in model and 250W RMS for the 8in version.

The MM-Series marine coaxial speakers sit between Kicker’s KM and MS ranges. They feature 1in Tetoron tweeters, RGBW lighting around the tweeter and cone, and sealed composite baskets designed to protect the internal components from water. Both white and charcoal grilles are included, with power handling rated at 75W RMS for the 6.5in model and 160W RMS for the 8in version.

Kicker has also responded to demand for unloaded subwoofer enclosures, introducing two designs for customers who want to choose their own drivers.
One is designed for 12in square subwoofers, while the other accommodates conventional round models. Both feature Kicker’s black carpet finish, internal bracing and curved ports designed to reduce unwanted noise. They share the same internal airspace and are tuned to 26Hz.
The enclosures are compatible with Kicker’s round and square subwoofers, although not its thin-mount models or the L7X and L7 XS ranges, which have their own dedicated enclosures.

There was also a little live entertainment at the Kicker booth, courtesy of Billy F Gibbons, frontman of ZZ Top, and country-rock musician Tim Montana.
The pair brought along a ’42 Ford street rod fitted with Kicker speakers, amplifiers and a media centre. The system was also used to power a pair of Magnatone guitar amplifiers, turning the car into a rather unusual mobile concert venue.
They plugged in and played to the crowd on the SEMA show floor – a suitably loud demonstration of Kicker’s ‘Livin’ Loud’ philosophy.
Kicker products are distributed in the UK by Celsus ICE. We expect many of these products to be available here soon.
