The global automotive aftermarket descends on the Las Vegas Convention Center this week, with SEMA 2026 running from November 3-6. Car audio manufacturers are preparing to show off new audio equipment, infotainment systems, dash cams and security products alongside bodykits, alloy wheels, tuning enhancements and custom builds.

We’ll be reporting on the new releases as we discover them, but here’s what we know so far:

AudioControl Goes Big with 15in Subwoofers

AudioControl is expanding its Epic speaker range and introducing its first 15in subwoofer, the Epic X5. Rated at 2,000W RMS, it’s due to arrive in the first quarter of 2027, alongside new 8in, 10in and 12in models.

There will also be new Epic 6.5in mid-range drivers, featuring neodymium magnets and cast baskets, as well as 6.5in horn-loaded compression drivers.

The products will be demonstrated in the Epic Buzz, a Volkswagen ID. Buzz fitted with 62 speakers and 16 amplifiers producing a combined 30,000W. Eight of the new 15in subs provide the bass, which should make for a fairly memorable demonstration of what happens when someone asks for the volume to be turned up.

AudioControl is also adding five speaker sizes to its Altitude range, giving installers more options for custom builds. In the UK, these products will be available through Midbass Distribution.

Metra Introduces New Multimedia and Audio Brands

Metra Electronics is using SEMA to introduce Aküstik, a new range of multimedia receivers and vehicle-specific installation products. The range includes three receiver formats, alongside compatible interfaces, wiring harnesses, dash kits and mounting adapters, giving installers more options when upgrading factory infotainment systems.

The company is also rebranding its established vehicle-specific audio kits under the Sound Stage name, alongside new applications and subwoofer packages. The systems are designed to improve factory audio without necessarily replacing the original head unit, while new enclosures and amplifiers provide more options for adding bass and power. Metra is distributed in the UK by Sloth Poppy.

JBL Adds More Bass and Mounting Options

JBL will showcase its second-generation Rallybar soundbars, designed for recreational vehicles and other applications where conventional car audio isn’t always the answer.

The Rallybar 2 and Rallybar XL2 feature dynamic LED lighting that responds to music, while Bluetooth 5.4, USB and RCA connectivity provide plenty of ways to feed a signal. Auracast compatibility allows multiple speakers to be linked.

For more conventional installations, JBL is expanding its BassPro range of powered subwoofers, which combine amplification and bass in compact enclosures designed for vehicles with limited installation space. It will also show the Flip 7 Magnet, a mounting accessory that secures a portable Bluetooth speaker to surfaces such as golf cart frames and metal rails.

MTX Focuses on Digital Signal Processing

MTX is putting its signal-processing products in the spotlight, led by the TL-8.8DSP eight-channel digital signal processor. The unit gives installers control over system tuning and sound customisation, helping them get the best from a mixture of factory and aftermarket equipment.

The range also includes the TL-4.5L line output converter and TL-DBE Digital Bass Enhancer. Two custom vehicles, a 1992 Chevrolet Silverado and a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, will demonstrate MTX equipment in action.

The flagship U3000 PRO combines 4K front and 2K rear recording with dual radar parking surveillance. Optional LTE connectivity enables remote monitoring and alerts. Meanwhile, the ARC 900 offers 4K front recording at 60fps, alongside a 2K rear camera.
